When asked to design this rapidly growing firm’s new headquarters, designers planned for the future of the company. This upscale traditional office features two interconnecting staircases harmoniously linked by four species of mahogany wood paneling and travertine stone flooring. One main reception services the four floor space, which are tailored to accommodate a mix of private and open offices, conference rooms, huddle rooms and collaborative areas. The space also has two work cafés/lunch rooms, one of which connects to an outdoor terrace with seating that can be engaged for office events in addition to its daily use, as well as an executive suite and separate reception area. Unique to this office is a super-sized corporate board room designed to accommodate all of the organization’s executives at one custom table with adjacent galley for catering services. Designers also incorporated a hand-carved wood mural into the exterior of the conference room door panels. Hand-carved by Honduran artisans and selected by the client, the mural took months to create, ship and install in the space.
