Staffelbach was hired to remodel this 185,000-square-foot, Class A office building in Preston Center and revive it from its dreary 1980s brass-and-granite-clad state. During the extensive rebranding effort, Staffelbach updated the main lobby, exterior and garage to reflect a more timeless design aesthetic suitable for today’s competitive real estate market. After removing all brass from the main areas of the building, the design team focused on creating an environment that would be marketable to both new and current tenants.
The north and south Lobby entrances were replaced with new energy efficient glass, revolving doors and curtainwall. Polished sycamore walls replaced the dark stone, and the floors have been covered in cream-colored marble. New energy efficient LED lighting throughout, security desk and aluminum clad canopies provide fresh architectural details to the space. Below grade parking lobbies are to be renovated with innovative finishes that provide a fresh new life to tenants and visitors.
