Excellence in Construction Award

January 16, 2012

Frost_smThe Frost Bank Rice Village Branch in Houston, Texas was honored with an “Excellence in Construction” award by the Associated Builders and Contractors Association of Greater Houston. Staffelbach is the architect and Teal served as the construction company for the new branch.

The project upgraded and improved the look of the entire West University neighborhood, resulting in an overwhelmingly positive response from the community. The two-story financial and banking center is constructed of structural steel framing and is filled with unique features that are modern, yet elegant.

The exterior is a mix of stone, glass, stucco and composite metal panels. The Frost Room’s 30-foot, walnut coffered ceilings and stacked limestone walls provide a dramatic effect, while the custom cabinets, table and plush furniture add comfort. The bank lobby features stained concrete floors. Stainless steel elements and eight-foot cherry doors are visible throughout the 9,400 square foot building.
